The Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster is modeled on "SRV #1" -- a 1963 Strat body on a 1962 neck that Vaughan began playing in 1974. The three-color sunburst guitar has a maple neck with a pau ferro fingerboard, three "Texas Special" single-coil pickups, left-handed tremolo placement, Vaughan's signature on the neck and his initials printed on the pickguard.

Released on June 13, 1982, 'Texas Flood' launched Vaughan and his band Double Trouble into the spotlight. It reached No. 38 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. To date it has sold more than two million copies.

'Texas Flood' featured such searing blues cuts as 'Love Struck Baby,' 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' and 'Pride and Joy,' which came in at No. 61 on our list of the Top 100 Classic Rock Songs. But it also showed Vaughan's quieter side, as indicated on 'Tin Pan Alley (aka Roughest Place In Town)’ and the jazzy instrumental 'Lenny.' The 30th anniversary edition of the album includes a concert recorded at Philadelphia's Ripley Music Hall on Oct. 20, 1983.
