This Beloved New Jersey Bakery Is Now Closed After Five Decades
New Jersey is known for a lot of things, mainly our beaches, but our food culture is also wildly popular as well.
We've got some pretty one-of-a-kind ice cream shops, Italian restaurants that could please even the pickiest of eaters, and of course amazing bakeries.

Right here in Ocean County, we've got some pretty amazing places.
Mueller's in Bayhead is loved for their crumb cake, 502 Bakery in Brick has some really good baked goods and cookies, and I think Fumosa Bros in Ortley has some great donuts and croissants.
However, I recently saw that a beloved local bakery made the announcement over the weekend that they planned on hanging up the apron and closing up the shop.
For the past 50 years or so, Sipo's Bakery has been located in Perth Amboy serving locals freshly baked Babka, and Walnut Rolls, as well as cupcakes and other fresh baked goods.
NJ.com reports that the bakery made the announcement official on Facebook and over the weekend, on June 4th the bakery officially closed.
Sipo's was a beloved bakery within the Perth Amboy community serving locals for nearly 5 decades.
It seems to be something we're seeing more and more of near the Jersey Shore, local businesses closing up shop after years in business.
Just the other week I saw that Nino's, in Seaside Park, closed up seemingly out of nowhere.
You can read more about that right here.
It was nice to see the outpouring of support from the community on the bakery's Facebook page.
A lot of people mentioned the bakery's amazing bread and how Sipo's will be missed within the community.
