St. John Vianney freshman Anthony Knox, the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the nation at 113 pounds, reached the 113-pound final but was defeated by Delaware Valley's (Pa.) Zachary Jacaruso, 6-4 in sudden victory, to hand him his first loss.
Knox had previously stated his intention was to go undefeated throughout his high school career. He entered high school after a highly-decorated youth career that featured multiple Super 32 and Fargo National titles.
Knox was joined on the podium by senior Nico Diaz, who placed fourth at 132 pounds, and freshman Patrick O'Keefe, who finished fifth at 106 pounds.
Christian Brothers Academy junior Julian George continued his excellent season by placing third at 138 pounds. Tyler Barrett was sixth at 152, Garrett Totten was seventh at 126, and Zander Silva placed eighth at 160.
