Lifeguards in Ocean City cleared the water after sharks were spotted in the area.

According to Fox29, lifeguards said that while the sharks in the above video were spotted around the 7th Street beach, two more sharks were seen at 15th Street. All in all, ten beaches across Ocean City were closed due to "marine life scares", which doesn't necessarily mean sharks, but could include something like a pod of dolphins getting too close to swimmers.

We always like to talk about the big monsters that are spotted off our shore, but luckily those great whites tend to stay a few miles away. The sharks spotted around Ocean City yesterday were probably smaller sand sharks, which are typically non-aggressive. Still not the sort of thing you want to brush up against while you're swimming, so your best bet is to stay out of the water when they're around.
