Send Christmas Cards To The Troops
Everyone loves to spend Christmas with their family, but for tens of thousands of members of the US Armed Services, they'll be stuck halfway around the world for the holidays.
The USASOA is collecting cards to send to troops around the world, and are looking to get cards from schools, offices, and individuals.
Cards must be sent no later than December 1st, so it's kind of short notice, but still enough time to get your kid's class or youth group, or pass a card around the office, or just make it personal. I did this forever ago when I was a Cub Scout, and even though it's a simple little thing, it stuck with me all these years later.
The USASOA notes that for security reasons, you have to place your card in an envelope, then place the whole thing in a larger envelope or box. You can't seal the cards in the envelopes, you must leave the envelope blank, and you can't put stamps on the envelope.
