There's no better place to grab fresh seafood than near the Jersy Shore.

Regardless of the time of year, having a fresh catch from the ocean tastes a little better in Jersey.

My favorite spot to grab some fresh fried flounder is the Doc at the Lobster House in Cape May.

It's a massive doc and fish market that fries up your fish fresh, right when you order it and you get to eat it on the docs and watch the boats come in while you chow down.

It's so much fun, and delicious.

Now, it looks like a similar type of restaurant and market could soon be opening in Brick, NJ.

Fresh Seafood Restaurant And Fish Market Planned For Brick, NJ

The details are still very much in the planning phase, in fact, there still has to be a planning zone meeting for the property, but the idea is in the works.

According to Patch, a group plans to bring a fresh seafood market and restaurant to 872 Mantoloking Road in Brick.

The new restaurant will not only serve up fresh seafood but will also feature a wholesale market, meaning getting fresh seafood in Brick just got even easier.

The new restaurant is in a prime location too, right off Mantoloking Road and across the street from Denino's Pizza.

As I said, for now the details are still fuzzy but a rendering of what the building will look like should be available by the end of the month, after the initial zoning hearing.

In the meantime, these are some of Jersey's best seafood restaurants you need to visit.
