New Jersey Is Being Rocked By A Massive Snow And Ice Storm

New Jersey is in the midst (or just getting through, depending on when you read this) of our first major snow and ice event of the year, and for most of us, it was pretty insane. We're having sub-zero temperatures, dealing with wind, sleet, snow, and rain, and most of us still have to get shoveled out for work on Monday.

That being said, if you're a kid, this is the best time of year, you're finally thinking you'll get your first snow day of 2026, and a lot of schools around Ocean County have already made the decision to close, so that way parents don't have to worry about their kids getting to and from school safely with all the snow and ice that's hit the ground.

This list, by the way, is going to be Ocean County-specific. Despite the fact that a lot of schools around the state plan on closing tomorrow, you can get the full list of schools closed throughout the Garden State on 1/26 right here. 

And you may be thinking to yourself, "Well, back in my day, it took more than a few inches of snow to close the schools' and you may be right, but in the year 2026, it's a better safe than sorry approach, and it's the right thing to do. I mean, even the Target in Brick closed at 5 PM the day of the storm, and they never close!
