With the Feb. 10 NBA trade deadline closing in, the Sixers sill have no resolution with what to do with Ben Simmons.

There have been a ton of reports of recent weeks about teams that have interest, but according to veteran NBA insider Marc Stein, the team might just hold on to Simmons at the deadline and try to include him in a sign-and-trade in the offseason with James Harden the target.

This is something that aligns with what ESPN's Brian Windhorst said last week on the Hoop Collective podcast.

There has been a ton of speculation around Harden's future after he turned down an extension offer to remain in Brooklyn before the season began.

As for Simmons, it appears he is fine with sitting out the entire season, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

"He does want to move on and restart his life and his career," Shelburne explained on the NBA Today. "

"I think the sense is, if it takes the entire season to trade him, if it takes all year for the Sixers to find a trade that's acceptable for them, he's prepared for that."

Shelburne states that Simmons has been very diligent in his work with his therapist to work on his mental health and that he is still getting heavy fines for every game, practice and weight lifting session that he is missing.

Simmons of course has to suit up for the Sixers this season.
