Check Your Couch Cushions New Jersey, This Dime Is Worth 2 Million Bucks
Who couldn't use a little extra cash right about now?
Things are more expensive than ever and running into some extra money is always a nice surprise.

How does an extra 2 million dollars sound for extra money?
It's time to start turning those couch cushions inside out because there are some dimes being valued at 2 million dollars.
These are lost coins too, so it's not impossible to think they could be right here in New Jersey!
What Dimes Are Worth 2 Million Dollars?
It's an 1894 S-Barber Dime, according to Readers Digest.
The story goes that John Dagget, the superintendent of the San Francisco Mint had a limited number of these coins minted in 1894.
Why only 24, I have no idea.
The story goes he gave 3 of these dimes to his daughter and told her to hold onto them for a long time and not to use them.
Readers Digest reports that she went ahead and used some of them to buy ice cream.
Ice cream for a dime? Not a bad deal!
Over the years the coins went missing and now there are only 9 of these rare 1894 S-Barber Coins left.
The whereabouts of 7 out of the 9 coins are known, so that leaves 2 of these multi-million dollar rare coins in circulation.

Yes, the odds of you finding this coin in the parking lot of Shoprite are small, but not impossible.
Also, if you think you might somehow have this 2 million dollar coin then whatever you do do not take it to a bank.
Readers Digest says that what you should do is take the coin to an appraiser instead.
They'll be able to confirm the coin is in fact a rare one and can tell you what it's actually worth because it's probably more than 5 cents!
