It sounds crazy, but it's really one of the most fun events Seaside Heights hosts each year.

The Polar Plunge Returns To Seaside Heights For 2025

If you're not familiar with the Seaside Heights Polar Plunge, you need to make it out to Seaside this year to at least witness this wild event.

Thousands of people line up on the beach in front of Spicy Cantina to take a dip in the frigid ocean to help support the Special Olympics of New Jersey.

When Does The Polar Plunge In Seaside Heights, NJ Take Place In 2025?

For 2025, the Polar Plunge is happening on Saturday, February 22nd.

Registration opens at 9 AM on the day of the event on Blaine Avenue, and you'll want to get there early because the town gets crowded fast.

At 12:30 PM, plungers head over to the beach to prepare for the plunge, and at 1 PM the plunge commences with hundreds and thousands of people running head first into the ocean with a smile on their face!

How Much Does It Cost To Register For The Polar Plunge?

According to Exit 82, there are a few different price points depending on when you register for the event.

If you register by December 31st, 2024 then it's a $100 registration fee.

If you register between January 1st and 31st it'll run you $110 to plunge, and if you're late to register and get signed up between Febuary 1st and the 16th it'll cost $120.

You can also register the week of the event and the day of but that'll cost $125.

Keep in mind, that the funds raised go to support the Special Olympics of New Jersey, and this is such a great day of fun.
