Noooooooooo!!!

COVID-19 claims another retailer. Pet Valu announced today that due to the severe impact of COVID-19, that they will be closing all 358 United States stores and today begins their "wind-down" process.

No word on when they will officially close all their stores for good.

According to Pet Valu Executive, Jamie Gould:

"The Pet Valu U.S. team is proud to have met the needs of our devoted pet lover customers in the U.S. for more than 25 years. However, the Company's stores have been significantly impacted by the protracted COVID-19-related restrictions. After a thorough review of all available alternatives, we made the difficult but necessary decision to commence this orderly wind down."

This one really sucks for me! I shop at Pet Valu for my dog Winston all the time. I love that store; They have food that Winston loves that I can't get in other stores.

I know, I know...I can order online, but there are some things I just don't like to order through the mail, and one of those things is dog food. If I need dog food, I run to the store and get it. Now I'm going to have to pay attention, and order in advance...What a pain in the ass.

But what initially drew me to Pet Valu is their self-service dog wash. It is so convenient, and I don't have to worry about my dog making a mess of my bathroom. This is really so annoying!

Plus I love the staff as well at the Fischer Boulevard location. They know Winston by name, and they always give him treats when I stop by.

I really am bummed out by this!

On their website and Facebook page, Pet Valu's closing sale begins on Thursday, November 5th with savings on items up to 20%
