Big Changes Are Coming To Olive Garden And New Jersey Isn’t Happy About It
Olive Garden is arguably one of the most popular fast-casual Italian restaurants in the country, and when you gorge yourself on their breadsticks and salad, you know why.
The food is delicious.
That being said, Olive Garden's CEO has decided to double down on a pretty unpopular decision which is leaving a lot of New Jersey residents furious.
Olive Garden Plans To Continue To Raise Prices Across The Nation
In an economic climate where everything is already crazy expensive, Olive Garden seems to be doubling down on its decision to raise prices.
According to Fox Business News, over the next year or so Olive Garden which the Darden Group operates plans on raising prices to keep up with inflation, somewhere between 2.5 and 3 percent.
Keep in mind though, over the past year or so Olive Garden has done a good job of keeping its pricing fairly reasonable, and according to Olive Garden's CEO, they've actually been underpricing their menus by 20 percent over the past five years.
That being said, with a lot of other restaurants and fast food chains trying to find ways to cut back the price tag on menus, it is a little concerning that Olive Garden is looking to raise them.
Keep in mind, that an Olive Garden menu item comes with a ton of food. The Tour Of Italy for example is $21.99 and it comes with a large piece of lasagna, a serving of fettuccini alfredo, and a serving of chicken parm plus you get the salad and breadsticks, that's a ton of food.
