We have discussed this popular restaurant chain in the past, it’s one we have heard a lot about and it seems like it is a very popular eatery. The question is do we want one in Toms River? The nearest Texas Roadhouse is in Monmouth County in Howell Township and there is non in Southern Ocean County, so we are not overrun with Texas Roadhouse locations here in Ocean County.

Are you familiar with Texas Roadhouse Restaurants? Texas Roadhouse is a chain restaurant that has a lot of buzz and a lot of fans around the nation. Our closest restaurant is in Howell, Monmouth County.

Let's first learn a few things about Texas Roadhouse.....It did NOT originate in Texas, it was founded in Indiana. Wayne Kent Taylor was the founder. Texas Roadhouse began in 1993 and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.

Texas Roadhouse is famous for their hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, made-from-scratch sides, ice-cold beer, and their irresistible fresh-baked bread.

Have you been to a Texas Roadhouse? April and I went once and enjoyed it. I know Sue Moll goes just for the bread. Texas Roadhouse is known for its fresh-baked-bread and I admit I very much enjoyed it also. If you have eaten at a Texas Roadhouse, let us know what your favorite is and post your comments below the photo gallery at the end of this article.

Now we switch the conversation to Toms River. It's time Toms River got a Texas Roadhouse. I think it would be a nice added dining option here in Toms River and for Ocean Country residents. The question is where? I think there are several areas along Route 37 that could house a Texas Roadhouse. How about on the grounds of the Ocean County Mall on Hooper Avenue? Those are the first two location, rt 37 and the Mall, that come to mind.

Where do YOU think a Texas Roadhouse would be best in Toms River? or would you pick a different town?
