National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign with events going on in thousands of towns across the entire country. New Jersey alone has 250(!) towns participating, including a number in Ocean County.

Brick

Windward Beach, 6-8:30pm
I actually went to National Night Out last year with my sister and her family. Baby Varacchi and my niece and nephew had a great time checking out and climbing around all the police vehicles and firetrucks. There are also K9 demonstrations, plenty of food trucks, music, activities for the kids, and more.

Lacey

Gille Park, 6-11pm
Bicycle rodeo, K-9 and drone demonstrations, child ID registrations, helicopter landings and flyovers (weather permitting), music, and food. The park will be open 6-9 p.m. The township Recreation Department will then have an outdoor showing of “Wonder” at 8:30pm.

Lakehurst

Harold J. Fuccile Memorial Sports Complex, 6-10pm
Games, raffles, exhibits, youth events, safety demonstrations, live music and seminars.

Long Beach Township

Bayview Park, 5-9pm
Live music, jumbo inflatables, a photo booth, face painting, a magician, balloon animals, free food, give-aways, Police/Fire/First Aid/Beach Patrol displays, K-9/Water Rescue Team/Drone demonstrations.

New Egypt

New Egypt Recreation Field, 5:30-9pm
Live music, food, demonstrations, and a fireworks show to end the night!

Pine Beach

Vista Park, 5-8pm
Demonstrations, displays, inflatables, foam machine, and more.

Stafford

Manahawkin Lake Park, 5-8pm
Police and K9 demonstrations, cardboard boat regatta, BMX demo, food trucks, inflatables, face painting, live music.

Toms River

Shelter Cove Park, 4-8pm
Music, face-painting, bounce houses, volleyball, police, fire and emergency displays, and food.
