NJ’s Weekend Of Horrors Confirms 2021 Con Dates
New Jersey is a horror fan's paradise! There are a bunch of horror-themed celebrations, like the Asbury Park Zombie Walk, NJ Horror Con, and the Weekend of Horrors. Horror Con rescheduled their fest until September, and then had to postpone again until March 2021. I haven't heard anything official from the Asbury Park Zombie Walk yet (the Mermaid Promenade was cancelled, so I have to assume the Zombie Walk will do the same). Now, the Weekend of Horrors has confirmed their planned dates for 2021.
The Weekend of Horrors is taking place June 11th-13th, 2021, at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison.
If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, you are not going to want to miss this convention. Guests include The Walking Dead producer and director Greg Nicotero, along with stars Norman Reedus (Daryl), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Katelyn Nacon (Enid), Pollyanna McIntosh (Jadis), Cooper Andrews (Jerry), and Cassady McClincy (Lydia).
Beyond Walking Dead stars, David Harbour of Stranger Things and Hellboy will be there, along with one of the greatest horror filmmakers ever, Clive Barker!
There will also be a panel discussion with directors known for their ‘80s slasher movies, and a cosplay contest.
It's kind of funny to look this far ahead, and even scrolling through the Weekend of Horrors site, there is no mention of pandemic restrictions or social distancing or mask rules. I get why Horror Con postponed this year, I get why the Mermaid Promenade cancelled, and I get why the Zombie Walk will likely cancel. It just seems like this fall will be too soon for most people to feel comfortable in a huge crowd like the Zombie Walk, but hopefully by next June we'll all be ready to go back out in public and hang at a convention center. Fingers crossed.
