The Vinyl Dinosaur is a new record shop in Bayville. They are just the latest to be hit with a Facebook ticket over sharing the image of Led Zeppelin's "Houses of the Holy" album cover.

Ultimate Classic Rock dives deeper into how Facebook's algorithm seems to have suddenly changed, as for years the album cover went through the site with no issues. A number of Led Zeppelin fan-pages, Jimmy Page tribute pages, and other record shops found posts going back as far at 2011 suddenly deleted due to Facebook's censorship.

A Change.org petition started, but Facebook actually removed anyone who shared the petition itself.

Facebook's algorithms are pretty much a mystery to everyone outside of the people who actually hit the Yes/No button. The company had previously censored images of Nirvana's "Nevermind" cover (which Kurt Cobain famously refused to change, saying anyone who had an issue with it must be a closet pedophile). We'll see if this recent round of negative publicity makes Facebook do an about-face and allow "Houses of the Holy" to be shared.
