NJ High School Baseball Player Delivers Epic Bat Flip

The old-timers love to rant against the bat flip, saying it's showboating and disrespectful and an affront to the "unwritten rules" of baseball. I tend to disagree. Jose Bautista launching a bat like it was flung from a catapult was a thing of beauty.

During the Diamond Classic finals this weekend, Gloucester Catholic's Chris Turco launched a bomb and flipped his bat high into the air.

It seems like the umpire was not pleased with that bat flip, especially since it ended up bouncing pretty close to where he was standing, watching the ball. Just as the clip ends, it looks like the ump is about to give Turco a talking-to, but I haven't been able to find longer video.
