NJ Bans Backyard Fire Pits In Select Counties
The New Jersey Forest Fire Service has declared a ban on backyard fire pits in northwest Jersey, including Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex and Warren counties. The fire service says the recent stretch of dry weather has created a dangerous fire risk, and the ban could become even more strict.
So far conditions in Ocean County have been okay, which is good because I love hanging out by my firepit. We'll update you if the ban extends to our area.
