🔵 UPDATE: The Amber Alert was canceled just before 7:30 a.m.

VINELAND — An Amber Alert issued early Thursday morning for a 7-month-old girl police said was abducted by her father in Cumberland County was canceled around 7:30 a.m.

Phones buzzed in the pre-dawn hours about Emerie Rivera Black after she was last seen in Vineland. A tweet around 7:30 a.m. by Pennsylvania State Police indicated the girl had been located safe.

She was believed to be with her father, Ramon B. Rivera Jr., 22

Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said late Thursday morning that Rivera was taken until custody 30 miles to the west in Logan Township. She said the Amber Alert was issued after he failed to return his daughter to Vineland voluntarily.

Rivera was charged with simple assault of a victim, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful possession of a weapon and harrassment.
