New Jersey’s Jewelry Chains May Never Re-Open
Signet, the parent company who owns the jewelry chains Jared, Kay Jewelers, and Zales, has announced that after the pandemic had forced them to close all of their 2,800 stores worldwide, and now even after coronavirus restrictions are being lifted, many stores won't re-open.
There hasn't been an announcement of exactly which stores will open again and which will remain closed, but if you look at Jared and Kay and Zales, they have nine locations in just the Ocean/Monmouth County area.
Jared The Galleria of Jewelry has two locations, at the Freehold Raceway Mall and Monmouth Mall. They have a total of seven stores in New Jersey.
Kay Jewelers has four locations in our area, at the Freehold Raceway Mall, Monmouth Mall, Ocean County Mall, and on Route 9 in Howell, with 23 in total in New Jersey.
Zales has three locations nearby, at the Ocean County Mall, on Route 9 in Freehold and on the Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing, with fourteen across the state.
Again, we don't know exactly which stores will close and which will re-open. We'll keep you updated with any news we get.
