The Absolute Best Small Towns In New Jersey For A Weekend Getaway
You've been working hard lately and decided that it's time for a weekend getaway.
Just a few days to yourself to unwind, relax and recharge. Sounds great, right?
So you do a little research trying to find a great little town to go to for a weekend getaway here in the Garden State but run into an issue.
New Jersey doesn't have any good little small towns or fun unique places to visit for a few days to get away from everything.
Sounds crazy right?
I think it does too.
But I was seriously surprised when Cosmoplotian released its list of the best small towns around the country to visit, and there was nothing from New Jersey!
Not a one!
I couldn't believe that between some of our one-of-a-kind small towns, beaches, hiking, and lakes that there wasn't a single New Jersey town to be found.
Have they never been to Lake Como?
They just decided to ignore Allentown or Bridgetown?
Our neighbors above us in New York made the list and so did a town in Pennsylvania.
But nothing from the Garden State.
So, that got me thinking; if we were to put together a list of the best towns to visit for a weekend getaway in New Jersey, what places should be on the list?
What all goes into a good weekend visit?
Of course, you'll want places that offer something unique, have overnight accommodations, has some history or nightlife and of course, is within New Jersey.
I'll kick the list off with a few places I think would make a good weekend getaway, but I also want to hear from you
