"This is going to go viral," proclaimed the man wearing sunglasses and an American flag tie as he serenaded the residents of Rose Garden in Toms River.  These videos are a must-see, a glimpse of positivity, and happiness that will brighten anyone's day.

Let's face it, there's a lot of heavy issues in Jersey and the world today.  Due to COVID-19, we've all faced challenges related to our health and our wealth.  Add to that all the recent protests and riots happening around the United States and there's plenty to be concerned about.  When an organization decides to try something different and inject some fun into the lives of their residents, they have my support.

On Thursday, Rose Garden posted two videos on their Facebook page showing the mysterious "Mr. Shawn" and his dancing assistant performing in the hallway for residents.  The first video features a hit from 1976, Engelbert Humperdinck's 'After the Lovin'.  The second video features a hit from 1964, The Drifter's 'Up on the Roof."  The lyrics could not be more timely:

And if this world starts getting you down
There's room enough for two
Up on the roof (up on the roof)
"Mr Shawn", his dancer, and the Rose Garden deserve a big thumbs up for their feel-good efforts.  If you like what you see, help it go viral and share this article.  Check out the video below.  If it doesn't show up on your browser, try this link.
