A Record Setting Blizzard Could Be Hitting New Jersey This Weekend

Cape May ended up really getting slammed with a total of somewhere around 8 inches of snow during the storm earlier this week, and it may not be over.

I think it was back in 2021, that we ended up getting nearly a foot of powder fall from the sky, and blizzards like that can be fun, but for most of us, they are a severe headache.

Now, there's a rumor circulating among some forecasters that we could get hit with a blizzard that'll bring not only snow but also hurricane-force winds.
Initial maps from the GFS Model show that the Toms River area could get slammed with nearly 30 inches of snow!
But before we start hammering food stores for milk and bread, what are the odds of this storm even forming?

When you look at the map, seeing the possibility of that much snow can be scary, but as this TikToker mentioned, it's way to soon to tell.
As of right now, my personal weather map says we may get an inch or two this weekend but nothing too crazy.
Meteorologist Dan Zarrow, our in-house weather expert has also been following this possible storm, and he also believes that we may get some light snow, but a full-blown blizzard is not very likely this time around for New Jersey.
