Monmouth University To Host Philadelphia Eagles Practices
The Eagles are staying clear of Pope-mania in Philly this weekend by taking the trip to the shore to practice at Monmouth University!
It will be a homecoming for wide receiver Miles Austin, who starred for the Hawks 2002-2005 (around the same time I starred at Monmouth's radio station). He caught 150 passes for 2,867 yards and 33 touchdowns and is the school record-holder in receiving yards. In 2003, Austin set a Monmouth single-season record for touchdown catches with 12.
Austin was drafted by the Cowboys for 8 seasons, dated Kim Kardashian for a few minutes, and played last season for the Browns before signing a free agent contract with the Eagles this past offseason.
Unfortunately for Eagles fans, the practices will not be open to the public, according to Dave Weinberg.
