Another day, another massive recall that we need to keep top of mind while we grocery shop this week.

It seems like recalls are becoming more and more commonplace these days.

For example, just last week we learned that there was a pretty big apple juice recall due to above acceptable levels of arsenic being found in the juice.

The fact that there's even an FDA-approved level of acceptable arsenic seems insane to me, but what do I know?

Now it appears as though another pretty popular beverage is being recalled, and once again it's because something was added to it that shouldn't have been.

Why Is Lactaid Milk Being Recalled In 27 States, Including NJ?

Apparently it's due to an added ingredient that's not supposed to be in the milk and also isn't listed on the ingredient list.

Somehow trace amounts of almond made its way into the Lactaid which may not seem like a huge deal, but if you're allergic to almonds and drink Lactiad it's something you want to be aware of.

The recalled product was shipped to stores between 9/5 and 9/18 and people are being urged to bring the Lactaid back to its point of purchase for a refund.

So far there haven't been any reports of illness, but still, as someone who uses dairy-free milk products, it's mildly concerning to see.
