Metallica Make Surprise Visit To Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst

James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo made an unannounced stop at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst last week.

It seems a lot of people were grumbling about the fact that the visit was only announced after-the-fact, but the Base has said that Hetfield and Trujillo requested to keep it a secret and not host any meet-and-greets or anything.

I get that the base wouldn't want a throng of fans to try to enter a military facility, but just imagine how cool it would be for Metallica to do a show inside a hangar, or just fill a runway with thousands of fans? Make it happen Joint Base MDL!
