Manchester Man Found Guilty in Officer Jason Marles’ Death
Erick P. Uzcategui was found guilty of vehicular homicide Thursday in the death of Ocean Gate Police Office Jason Marles, and he now faces five to 10 years in state prison.
It was three and a half years ago that Marles was on his way home from working an overtime shift on Thanksgiving Eve, when his personal Jeep Grand Cherokee was struck by Uzcategui's BMW. The impact caused Marles' Jeep to spin around, strike a guard rail, leave the roadway, overturn and burst into flames.
