It was an eventful morning in Seaside Heights Monday when a man stood high above the boardwalk after climbing on top of the 'Skyscraper' at Casino Pier protesting charges against him in another Ocean County town.

Seaside Heights Police responded to Casino Pier around 6:00 am where Chris Angulo, 45, had climbed up and connected an American flag to the top of the ride while he waited for an attorney to help him with a recent arrest as well as ongoing personal family matters, Detective Steve Korman said.

Police Chief Tommy Boyd was able to speak with Angelo by phone and convince him to climb down from the 'Skyscraper'

As soon as he was all the way down onto the boardwalk, Angulo was placed under arrest by Ptl. Chris Linnell, transported to Seaside Heights Police Headquarters, where he was booked and processed for Defiant Trespass (2C:18–3B) and then transported to Community Medical Center for a Mental Health Evaluation.

News 12 New Jersey's Jim Murdoch, who was first on the scene this morning, spoke with Angulo on the phone this morning and reported that Angulo said "he feels he's being falsely accused of threatening Bay Head Police"

Bay Head Police Chief William Hoffman told WOBM News on Monday afternoon that Angulo has been charged with three counts of terroristic threats after he threatened 3 Bay Head Police Officers recently on a video he created online about a month ago.

Angulo posted a video to his YouTube channel on Sunday where he acknowledged the charges by asking a Bay Head Police Officer "have you heard about me threatening to kill the police with scissors?"

The officer said he saw the (now removed) video on Angulo's YouTube channel of him threatening the police in Bay Head.

Angulo kept asking the officer why he didn't charge him with making threats.

"Why not four or five (counts) right? Why not five or six?"

The officer eventually politely walked away and said "have a good day."

The Ocean County Prosecutors Office, Ocean County Sheriffs Department, New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit, New Jersey State Police Aviation, Seaside Heights Beach Patrol Units, Seaside Heights Fire Department Station 44 and Tri-Boro First Aid Units all responded to Casino Pier on Monday morning.
