Check those numbers, and fast!

With crazy inflation and high gas prices, now would be a really good time to win the lottery.  That dream is about to come true for one lucky person who bought a lottery ticket in Forked River.

The lucky winner will walk away with half of an $864,760 Jersey Cash 5 Jackpot, according to the New Jersey Lottery's website, since there was another prize winner from Welsh Farms in Edison, pictured below.

If math isn't your strong suit (like me) that comes out to $432,380 per winner, before taxes of course!  Which is still a pretty penny, especially in this economy.

Both winners matched all numbers on the ticket (what are the odds of that?) which, per NJ Lottery were:

08, 16, 25, 27, 39, and an XTRA number of 02.

With that kind of cash, you could fill up your gas tank with over 90,000 gallons of gas, put a down payment on a house, pay off your mortgage - I could go on and on. I also have a feeling that the winners will suddenly run into "long-lost friends and family members" looking for a couple of bucks.

You're probably wondering where the winning ticket was purchased. What if I told you it was somewhere you most likely stop at frequently (I know I've been there)!

The lucky store was Wawa #988 at 800 Lacey Road in Forked River!  Can you believe it?

With that news, I wouldn't be surprised if you add a Wawa stop on your commute to work.

Congratulations to the lucky winner!

maybe they'll put a down payment on this waterfront NJ mansion
