LBI FLY International Kite Festival This Weekend

The 2nd Annual LBI Fly International Kite Festival will take over the beaches of Long Beach Island over the course of Columbus Day Weekend, October 7 through 10.

There are events every day, like kite competitions, displays, races, even kite-building classes for the kids.

Whoa, some of those kites are insane! I desperately want the whales that show up around :15 and :51.

Event organizers are optimistic that Hurricane Matthew's path will remain pushing eastward out to sea. The kite-flying will go on rain or shine, barring a torrential downpour. Check Facebook for updates.
