Two Lakewood residents have been arrested for their alleged roles in a fraudulent credit card scheme.

Police launched an investigation into the occupants of 215 Kennedy Boulevard after the owner of FoodEx reported a pattern of suspicious home delivery orders over the last two months.
The suspects would place fairly large orders for cleaning supplies and then cancel the stolen credit card charge after the items were delivered.

Further investigation conducted by Det. Kevin Martin resulted in the arrests of Pablo Rivera, 33 and Milca Bermudez, 54, of Lakewood and recovery of supplies all believed to be part of the ring from several local food markets including, FoodEx, Gourmet Glatt, Seasons and Kosher Village.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
