What a picture, perfect morning here at the Jersey Shore! Can;t think of a better day to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Bruce Brunch radio program on 105.7 The Hawk.

It's a special three hour show today and we'll be on live from 9 a.m.  to noon at the River Rock at 1600 Route 70 in Brick. Marco and the great folks there have it going on, and there's no cover, etc. And, yes, they are full on open for brunch and whatever else.

The Sensational Soul Cruisers will be performing live with two Bruce covers worked up for us, one of which is a song that Springsteen has never performed live (and a song that I love). Frank Stefanko will join us as well, timing couldn't be more perfect with all of the River-mania going on.Frank has generously signed 5 proofs of his River album cover shot which we'll be giving away. I am really looking forward to getting in to this new box set on the air.

The first Bruce Brunch was on The Hawk on Sunday 12/7/03. There was one of those old fashioned holiday shows that night at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. It was a show for the ages, and all in all, a day that's impossible to forget. I'm still riding that wave. 12 years and counting.

Thanks to all the great folks at the Townsquare Media Shore offices--especially Don Dalesio, Steve Ardolina & Andy Chase. I always thank Steve Trevelise for putting me together with Phil LoCascio. The station started steaming in 2005, and now it's commonplace to hear from people anywhere you can think of. And yes, that's as cool as it sounds.

I am a lucky man. And it you ever have, thank you for listening! And by all means, come hang with us this morning at the River Rock. Hope to see you there.
