Jackson Township Police are putting senior communities on alert as they investigate a string of burglaries that have taken place in recent months in those areas.

Police said that there have been reported burglaries in the Four Seasons at South Knolls located on North County Line Road, Four Seasons at Metedeconk located between Harmony and Eltone Roads, Greenbriar at Winding Ways located on South Cooks Bridge Road and West Lake Mews, also located off of South Cooks Bridge Road.

The most recent incident occurred on Friday when a resident of Chesterfield Drive in Four Seasons at Metedeconk called police to report a suspicious person they saw walking in the community.

This person was reportedly claiming to be a security guard and refused to identify himself to the resident and then left the area.

Jackson Police responded to the area and also requested a helicopter from the New Jersey State Police to check the community for the suspect, but they were not able to locate him.

A resident on Chesterfield Drive later reported a burglary to their residence.

Jackson Police Detectives have been working with multiple agencies to investigate these incidents and were able to obtain a video from a Ring doorbell from a resident of the Four Seasons at Metedeconk showing a possible suspect.

The suspect matches the description and clothing of the man reported on February 14 and the video shows his attempt to cover his face after seeing the Ring doorbell.

When he turns, you can see a crowbar sticking out of the backpack he is carrying.

Anyone with information leading to the identity of this subject is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111 or forward the information through the department’s Stopit app.

Residents are also asked to report any suspicious persons or activity so officers can be dispatched to investigate it.

"We are asking residents to be aware of, and report any suspicious persons observed in their neighborhoods. We are also asking that anyone who has information on the subject in the video and photo to contact police headquarters with that information."
