After 106 Years, Legendary New Jersey Clothing Store Set To Close Its Doors
Zinman Furs has been a well-known clothing retailer in South Jersey for more than a century. The family-run business started back in 1920, building a reputation for selling luxury fur coats, leather jackets, and high-end outerwear to customers from both New Jersey and nearby Philadelphia.

Over the years, the store grew into a large showroom along busy Route 38 in Pennsauken and became known not only for its coats but also for services like fur cleaning, repairs, restyling older garments, and cold storage for customers’ coats during the warmer months.
Thanks to its long history and loyal customer base, Zinman Furs became one of the most recognizable specialty clothing stores in South Jersey and a local retail landmark for generations of shoppers.
When Is Zinman Furs In Camden County Expected To Close?
According to a new report from NJ.com, the store (Pennsauken) at 2901 Admiral Wilson Blvd. has been a showroom for furs, shearlings, leathers, specialty outerwear, and accessories, according to the store website. The reason for the closure wasn’t announced. The last day is planned for March 31.
The fur business in the United States has shrunk a lot over the years. Today, only a few hundred dedicated furriers remain in the U.S., and many focus more on coat storage, repairs, or restyling older furs instead of selling lots of new ones.
According to NJ.com, "The owners were not available for comment, according to a spokesperson at the store. The company is advertising a store-closing sale with discounts up to 80% off, according to the store’s social media."
