What! A NJ Hiking Trail With Frying Pans Hanging From Trees?
Hiking New Jersey
If you follow my page then you know that one of my favorite things to do is to go hiking. Hiking is a great sport to keep you healthy and to have less stress on the knees, hips, back, etc. When I was younger I was a runner, but now getting a bit older I find walking is the best way to get the exercise we all need. Finding trails and unique ones is always a fun thing and adds to the experience when out hiking here in the Garden State. This trail we are talking about today is definitely a "unique" trail.
Hiking New Jersey

The trail we are doing today is located in Sussex County, New Jersey which is a great area to hike. This hike is more of a "discovery" than a long hiking trail. This area is unique because of what you find, a frying pan forest. Yes, the trail is decorated with frying pans. So if you crave pancakes while you are hiking this might be a great place to visit, the Frying Pan Forest.
According to a Reddit post, this is the best "location" I could come up with for the Frying Pan Forest. The location is just off Route 15 in Sparta, New Jersey. "If you head north on 15 it's on the hillside just next to the offramp for 181/ Sparta, just make sure you look up." As far as parking when exploring this destination, "I usually park by the Weldon Brook WMA, or you can park in the Park & Ride and just walk down." I have never been to this hiking area, but it's on my list.
