It was a perfect night for a concert in New Jersey in September as "the Boss" returned to the Garden State for a set of shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It was clear skies and perfect temps for a night under the stars in the Meadowlands to see Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

If I can be as in good a shape as Bruce at 73 I will be a happy man. Here was Bruce into his seventies performing for 3 straight hours, I'm not sure he ever stopped to take a drink the whole show it was one great song after another and the E Street Band was in top form as well. What I loved about the show was how the band all seemed to enjoy just playing together and being with one another on stage, it was a wonderful show and the hometown crowd loved every minute of it. Bruce's passion for people and music is evident from the moment he took the stage.

This show was definitely on our summer highlight list and it did not disappoint. Who knows how long Bruce will continue to hit the road, but from the looks of last night, he's not slowing down yet and I'm sure that makes millions of fans very happy, after all it's all about the music.

Here is the official set list for the show I was at on 9/1/23 at MetLife Stadium according to the Bruce Springsteen website.
