If you’ve ever spent a summer at the Jersey Shore, you’ve probably been to or at least heard of Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach.

For many of us, Jenkinson’s is more than just a boardwalk. It’s a place filled with memories of summer days, the beach, rides, games, good food, and time spent with family. I have spent so much time with my family at Jenkinson's. My son Zach and daughter Erin grew up going to Jenkinson's, and my wife April and I took them to the Aquarium and boardwalk for years.

When Did Jenkinson's Start In Point Pleasant Beach?

Jenkinson’s has been part of Point Pleasant Beach for a long time, with its story starting back in 1926 when Charles Jenkinson bought property there. Just two years later, Jenkinson’s Pavilion opened, offering visitors things like a candy shop, soda fountain, refreshment stand, and swimming pool.

Over the years, Jenkinson’s kept growing, adding attractions like miniature golf, a kiddie park, and the popular miniature train.

In the late 1970s, Pasquale “Pat” Storino took over and continued expanding Jenkinson’s with more rides, games, and restaurants.

Then came a major setback in 1989 when a fire destroyed the original Pavilion. A new Pavilion opened the next year, and in 1991, Jenkinson’s Aquarium opened, giving visitors yet another reason to spend the day at the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk.

When Does Boo at the Boardwalk Return to Jenkinson's Boardwalk?

The annual Boo at the Boardwalk returns to Jenkinson's on October 17, 18, 24, and 25 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm each day.

According to their website, Boo at the Boardwalk is "a celebration packed with trick-or-treating, entertainment, half-price rides, live shows, and hands-on activities designed for kids of all ages. This fall tradition is one of the most anticipated Halloween events in Ocean County, NJ, and it’s the perfect way for families to celebrate spooky season at the boardwalk!"
