I’ll level with you right off the bat: I’ve never been a huge fan of a massive prime rib dinner. If we're going out, I'm usually opting for a Porterhouse or a T-bone instead. But I know plenty of folks around Jersey who consider a slow-roasted, thick-cut prime rib the absolute star of weekend dining.

What Is The Big Prime Rib News?

A fun culinary article recently published a list highlighting the best prime rib spot in every state. When I scrolled down to check out New Jersey, the crown went to Steak 38 in Tabernacle.

Where is the Best Prime Rib in New Jersey?

Even if you're like me and aren't ordering the signature beef cut, a legendary local steakhouse still offers a lot to enjoy:

  • Tableside Showmanship: They are known for tableside Caesar salads and dramatic bananas foster flambé.
  • Classic Atmosphere: Old-school steakhouse vibes mean great service, cozy lighting, and solid cocktails.
  • Variety on the Menu: You can easily stick to delicious appetizers, loaded baked potatoes, or fresh seafood options while the rest of your table dives into the main event.

The original Steak 38 was founded back in 1993 on Route 38 in Cherry Hill, building a massive local following over three decades for its traditional steakhouse service.

Late in 2022, they expanded deep into Burlington County by opening a second outpost in Tabernacle, taking over and renovating the historic former Tabernacle Inn.
