PNC Bank Arts Center Isn’t Done Yet: Here’s the September Concert Lineup

Seeing a concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center just feels like summer in New Jersey.

You make the drive to Holmdel, sit in that inevitable traffic getting into the parking lot, maybe do a little tailgating, and eventually make your way inside for a night of live music. If you’ve lived in Jersey long enough, there’s a pretty good chance you have at least one great memory from a show there.

But I’ll argue that one of the best times to see a concert at PNC Bank Arts Center isn’t June, July, or even August.

It’s September.

September Concerts at PNC Bank Arts Center Are Underrated

Think about it. Those brutally hot and humid summer nights are hopefully behind us. Instead of sitting on the lawn wondering why you wore jeans when it’s still 87 degrees at 9:30 at night, September usually gives us those cooler evenings that are absolutely perfect for an outdoor concert.

There’s also something about knowing summer is winding down that makes these shows feel a little more special.

You know the cold weather is coming. You know those nights of hanging outside until 11 p.m. are numbered. So you appreciate them a little more.

And for those of us at the Jersey Shore, September isn’t exactly the end of summer anyway. It’s basically our bonus month.

PNC Bank Arts Center Still Has Big Shows Coming in September

Another mistake people make is assuming the PNC Bank Arts Center concert season basically ends after Labor Day.

Not even close.

There are still some pretty big shows on the September calendar, which means you’ve got plenty of opportunities for one more night under the pavilion or out on the lawn.
