It’s Been Long Enough! What’s Replacing the Old 7-Eleven and Windmill in Brick, NJ
Just wondering if anyone knew anything about the empty 7-Eleven and the Windmill, at the strip mall where the H&R Block is.
Recently, we heard Wawa was almost ready to open in Brick. So, I was just wondering about the 7-Eleven and the Windmill and any news on anything filling those two locations.
At this location in Brick at the intersection of Rt. 70 and Rt. 88 --the 7-Eleven is closed down and the Windmill. It's the strip mall where the H&R Block is. I think that's the only place open right now.
Whatever town you live in Ocean County or Monmouth County, there is a strip mall with empty stores. There is nothing worse than seeing empty stores that were once flourishing businesses and now a for rent sign.
We always ask the question, "What do you want to see there?" It's so tough, there are so many convenience stores, drug stores, and restaurants in these little areas of these towns, how can a small business make it?
I remember when the Windmill closed down, so many people were upset to see it go. They were there for 30 years, according to their official Facebook page, in that location in Brick and now have six locations throughout the Jersey Shore.
Their Facebook post was incredibly sad, "Putting all of their focus on the other locations here at the Jersey Shore would provide the best dining experience at those six locations." And of course saying, "To each of you, we say thank you for your loyalty and patronage throughout the years."
I hate when businesses close up and then the store is empty for so long. It's still empty and now two locations with the 7-Eleven and the old Windmill location. What do we need at that intersection of Rt. 70 and 88 in Brick? I'd love your feedback and ideas. What do you want to see there?
