Island Beach Rum Distillery Leaving Forked River

Island Beach Distillery is packing up, heading north, setting up a larger location, and expanding their schedule.

According to Patch, the Distillery is leaving the Forked River Industrial Park and taking a quick trip up Route 9 to a new location at Baywick Plaza in Bayville. The new space will be about 3,700 square feet, more than double the current spot's 1,500 square feet. The distillery will also expand their operating hours from a few days each week to being open every day.

The owners plan to keep the Forked River location open until Thanksgiving Eve. The distillery would close for a week or two before opening in Bayville during the first or second week of December.

Island Beach Distillery is hiring rumtenders and distiller's assistants for the Bayville location. You can apply in person at the distillery at 713 Old Shore Road in Forked River. They're open 5-9pm Friday, 1-9pm Saturday and 1-6pm Sunday. You must be 21 to apply.
