How did a car end up like this in Brick?
A car crash in Brick seemingly defied gravity and left a vehicle sitting vertical up against a utility pole.
Police Chief James Riccio tells WOBM News that the driver veered off the road and hit a guy wire attached to the pole.
The Fire Department and the fire Department's technical rescue team then worked together to stabilize the vehicle until it could be safely lowered.
The driver told police that he had been looking at his GPS before leaving the roadway and has since been issued two summonses.
No major injuries have been reported.
The Brick Township Technical Rescue team was requested to assist Pioneer Hose Co #1 and Breton Woods Fire Company #1 along with the assistance of the Laurelton Fire Companies Rescue truck secured the vehicle using two stabilization struts.
The BTTR team is a joint effort between the four township fire companies and Brick Police EMS.
