It appears as though more change is coming to Seaside Heights, and although we've talked about this 'upgrade' before, it now appears as though it is official.

The Proposed Idea For Hooks Bar And Grill In Seaside Heights, NJ

The idea was that the old pirate-themed bar that we've come to know and love would be upgraded into the modern day with a sleek design and topped with luxury condos.

Back in January, this upgrade was just a proposed idea; however, now, it appears as though the upgrades have become official.

Town Approval Secured For New Luxury Build

According to Shore Beat, the town has approved a new build at the site of Hooks Bar and Grille in Seaside that would feature an upgraded restaurant, 22 luxury condos, as well as parking spaces. It'll be a big change from the pirate-themed bar and grill we've come to know and love.

I'll be sad to see the old pirate-themed, local spot go. Hooks was legendary, hosting huge parties like their St Patrick's Day party in the parking lot, they always had awesome bands like Mushmouth take the massive outdoor stage, and it was always a blast.

Sure, Hooks will still be around after the rebuild, but it just won't be the same.

Seaside Heights, NJ, Continues To Transform

This is just the latest in a line of high-end luxury condos that are changing the landscape of Seaside Heights.

It seems like everywhere we look, massive multi-million dollar beach homes are going up, and the charm of the shore is dwindling.
