Smithville has a huge lineup of weekend events this fall, and it all leads up to one of their most popular attractions, the Lights on the Lake!

This year, the Lights make their debut on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 28th) and run through Monday January 6th. The show runs every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30-8:30pm.

A new addition to the festivities is S’mores on the Greene! Each Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December from 5-8pm (weather permitting), you can make s'mores around the campfire on the Greene. For a small fee you will purchase your own s’mores packet and stick.

Smithville knows that sometimes Santa Claus can be intimidating to younger kids, so they're bringing in Mrs. Claus instead. She'll be reading stories from 1:30-4:30 on December 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd.

The Magic Talking Christmas Tree will also be back at Smithville (Dec. 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22).

And of course, how could Christmas be complete without Breakfast with Santa? Reservations are required for December 14th and 21st, more info here.

There are a few non-holiday events in December, too:

December 7th is Hospitality Night, where the shoppes at Historic Smithville thank their loyal customers with discounts, refreshments, live entertainment and raffles. Hospitality Night begins at 6:00pm.

December 12th is Girls Night Out, an evening for the ladies to shop and celebrate the Holiday season together. There will be wine and cheese, raffles, discounts and other benefits for evening shopping.

All events are subject to change, so be sure to check Smithville's website and Facebook.
