Have You Seen The New Peregrine Falcon Nest By Route 72?
In 2015, a pair of nesting peregrine falcons was found on the Causeway Bridge on Route 72. Last week, a new habitat was erected to give the pair a safer home.
The tower stands in the same spot of the famous dilapidated shack that stood for years. The new structure is 16 feet tall with an 8 foot square platform, and a plastic igloo-shaped doghouse.
This is the fourth falcon tower in the area, with one in Manahawkin, one on Sedge Island, and one on the Mullica River.
