Recently, a list of the happiest towns in all of New Jersey was released, and Monmouth County is well represented. We are home to 20% of the happy towns in the Top 10, according to a Zippia report from just over a year ago.

We unfortunately do not occupy the #1 spot. That belongs to North Caldwell. But we do fit nicely in at #3 and #6 respectively.

So, which towns are the happiest in Monmouth County, and are among the happiest in the entire state. The answers might surprise you.

We all know that money can't buy you happiness, but I'm pretty sure you can rent it. All kidding aside, wealthy towns like Holmdel and Colts Neck are not correct answers in this case.

But the one name you think of when you think of Monmouth County big money is Rumson, and, yes, it is on the list. But it's #6, not #3.

The town that comes in at #3 is a stone's throw from Rumson. Let's congratulate the very happy people of Fair Haven for being Monmouth County's happy town.

Here's a quick little Fair Haven tidbit for you. About 110 years ago, Fair Haven was a part of Shrewsbury Township.  And the Shrewsbury River Yacht Club was once The Players Club, frequented by famous vaudevillians.

You never know, It might come up on a game show.
