We saw the crazy lines in Belmar as people queued up to buy beach badges for this summer. A few other towns have done online-only ordering, and now Toms River will allow people to buy badges at Town Hall.

According to a press release, beach badges will be on sale in Town Hall, 33 Washington Street, in the Tax Collector's Office.

Full season beach badges are $35 at the pre-season rate and $50 after June 19th. Payment can be made by cash or check. Right now, Town Hall is only selling regular beach badges.

Senior beach IDs, military beach badges and regular badges can also be purchased at the Recreation Administration Office, 1810 Warren Pointe Road. Senior beach IDs cost a one-time fee of $15 and are good for life.

None of us really have any idea what Summer 2020 is going to look like in our area, but if you do want to spend some time out on the beach, you can save some cash by picking up your Beach Badge early!
