Kiss' legendary bass player Gene Simmons catches a lot of flack for all his marketing schemes and for his extremely large ego. Of all the adjectives that the press uses to describe Simmons, one word in particular isn't used quite enough: Patriotic. For all the marketing schemes that Simmons is known for, he does not get enough credit for his patriotic side. An immigrant who came to the United States at the age of eight from Israel, Gene is the first one to tell you that none of what he has today without coming to this Country years ago and he is thankful and proud of the country that embraced him and his mother so many years ago.
