Forked River Rest Area Closing For Construction in September

Just like with the Monmouth County Rest Area on the Garden State Parkway, The Forked River Service area is getting a complete facelift as well

According to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, The Forked River Service Area will be completely shut down on or about September 10th, 2019, and it will be shut down for a long time

There will be no gas or any other services at that location as the entire rest area will be demolished to make way for a brand new facility.

The new construction is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day of 2020.

Hopefully, a Shake Shack will be coming to this one too!!
