I'll be honest, as a new homeowner the thought of snow causes some anxiety deep inside of me; will my roof hold up under the weight? Will my pipes be okay in these arctic temperatures? What about the trees? Will any branches fall off and damage my home?

Most of the time everything is fine, but still the threat of snow is something that can cause a lot of anxiety for many people.

And Jersey is about to get some major snowfall over the next couple of days that you'll want to prepare for.

We've had some dusting near the Jersey Shore this winter, but nothing too serious.

Now, it looks like we could see some substantial snowfall next week as early models are predicting up to 3-4 inches of the white stuff around New Jersey.

According to NJ.com, the more Southern Counties in Jersey may be hit the hardest with anywhere between 3 and 6 inches of powder during Monday's storm.

That's on top of the possible 1 to 2 inches we get Friday night into Saturday.

A lot of this depends on whether the storm keeps a northern track or not, and the fact that we're headed into some seriously arctic temps over the next couple of days will only fuel the possible snowstorm.

Near the Jersey Shore, it looks like we're projected to get anywhere from a dusting to an inch, while other reports say we could get an even bigger coating of powder.

There's really nothing we can do except wait, prepare, and be ready for whatever the first major snowstorm of 2025 will throw at us.
